Cold chain construction sinking and multi-link improvement of fresh service quality
Since the beginning of summer, the demand for delivery of fresh fruits, crayfish, ice cream and other fresh products has surged. Express companies have increased investment in urban and rural cold chain equipment and facilities, and various modes of transportation have been linked to transport more fresh agricultural products from rural areas to cities.
Recently, the C6026 train carrying 178 pieces of fruit departed from Guiyang North Station to Chengdu East Station. These fruits are stored in the high-speed rail express cabinet, large luggage compartment and behind the train seats, and specially assigned personnel are on duty to ensure food safety during transportation in the form of regular inspection.
Xiao Lijuan, train conductor of C6026 of Chengdu Passenger Transport Section of Chengdu Railway Bureau of China:We classify the fruits to avoid being squeezed and rubbed during transportation, and also adopt the cold chain box transportation mode to ensure the freshness and taste of the fruits during transportation to the greatest extent.
The reporter learned that in addition to the "high-speed rail+highway" transportation mode, many express delivery companies will also reduce the transportation time by opening direct flights, and use cold chain boxes to transport some perishable fruits to ensure the direct flavor.
In addition, express delivery companies will also promote the cold chain service network to sink to the countryside and expand the sales scope of agricultural products. At the Zanthoxylum bungeanum base in Xianfeng Town, jiangjin district, Chongqing, fresh green peppers were picked by villagers in the early morning and sent directly to the cold storage next to the planting base for pre-cooling, sorting and packaging. And less than 100 meters away from the cold storage, the express delivery company set up a cold chain logistics collection point, which can be transported to all parts of the country by logistics cold chain vehicles that afternoon.
Dong Wei, General Manager of Zhongtong Cold Chain Chongqing Company:In the past, we didn’t set up a cold chain logistics network below prefecture-level cities, and the logistics radius of agricultural products could only be within the surrounding 300 kilometers. Now, we have sunk the network and set up some places in villages and towns, and agricultural products can also be successfully sold to the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the three northeastern provinces.
In-situ preservation and whole-process cold chain logistics not only expand the supply radius, but also enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products.
Julia, General Manager of Zanthoxylum bungeanum Processing Enterprise in Xianfeng Town, jiangjin district, Chongqing:Cold storage can keep green pepper fresh for more than 12 months, and we can also choose to sell it at the right time according to the market, or even export it overseas, with a maximum price of 60 yuan a kilogram.
Bian Zuodong, Deputy Director of Market Supervision Department of State Post Bureau:By increasing the investment in cold chain equipment and facilities in urban and rural areas, postal express enterprises promote the combination of land and air transportation, open green channels, deliver fresh and fresh, and provide one-stop comprehensive service solutions extending to both ends of production and sales.
Improving the timeliness of delivery service and constructing regional next-day delivery service
In the case of a large volume of express delivery business, in order to make express delivery reach consumers in time, express delivery companies have vigorously improved their digital operation level, optimized transit and delivery processes, and improved the timeliness of delivery services in various ways.
At eleven o’clock in the evening, the lights in the Jiujiang digital warehouse in Wuhu, Anhui Province are brightly lit, and the staff in the warehouse will continue to work until the early hours of the morning, just so that the packages ordered by consumers after ten o’clock in the evening can be delivered on the same day.
Chen Haoran, Director of Wuhu Jiujiang Digital Warehouse Operation:In the past, warehouses only paid attention to delivery, and express delivery only took care of one section, but self-operated warehouses and express delivery realized integrated connection operation, which greatly improved the logistics speed and enabled 90% of the parcels to reach the next day.
In addition to shortening the process and increasing the response speed, the integrated operation of warehouse and distribution also reduces the operating cost of express delivery companies.
Chen Xianzhong, General Manager of Wuhu Shentong Express Service Co., Ltd.:The headquarters opens a green channel in the transshipment center the next day, that is, it will be divided on arrival; Set up a special trunk channel and start at regular intervals; At the same time, with the help of single quantity and scale, the cost is shared equally, which not only improves the service quality but also does not cause the cost to rise.
At present, many express delivery companies integrate warehousing and distribution. After consumers place an order, big data matches the warehouse closest to the receiving address, and express delivery companies deliver the package in time. Provide committed next-day service for major cities in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta. In some communities or business districts with a large volume of goods, express delivery companies also explore a new mode of "intelligent express delivery car+express delivery brother" to ensure the timeliness of parcels and improve service quality.
Bian Zuodong, Deputy Director of Market Supervision Department of State Post Bureau:Express delivery enterprises vigorously improve the level of digital operation, optimize the transit and delivery process, and accelerate the use of fully automatic sorting, unmanned warehouses, unmanned vehicles, drones and other equipment and technologies, which not only ensures that there is no warehouse explosion in the case of large business volume, but also completes the industry’s capacity upgrade.
